We made it

Under a tree 06/04/02

Brrr

Two weeks on the trot, why not. Under the tree, perfect venue, it's nice and sheltered and miles away from anywhere. It's a well used spot for a good reason. We used the cheeky back way in and got about setting up. Within a few minutes a couple of our mateys came back sayin theyd spotted a load of Police walking up. So, in true hardcore fashion, we flapped like a bunch of old women. The best thing we could think of was to keep quiet and turn the lights off. We had about 30 people with us, never mind the whole rig layed out, a transit van and a gazebo. We watched the Police's torches and heard them talking, whilst we all kept quiet, and it seemed to work cos they didnt find us and duly left!

Rikky!

We changed things around a bit this week. Ju still started the night off with his intelligent style, but it was the techno boys who got in straight after. Mundo stepped in with his hard Acid sound, getting those filthy acid lines reverbing around the forest.

Paddy took over the controls with his sedated mixing style followed by Nechto who ripped it up, starting his set with one of his own tunes. Rikkaz took over for the sunrise, playin out to a lovely site as the sun shone through the branches.

A lot of people had come down from Reading after a warehosue party had been shut down, with sound systems having been seized. I met a lot of new people and could put faces to some names, hope you get your stuff back ok boys. We got the setup sorted now and the rig sounded luuuurvely. Its hard to put up decor in the woods but we try. UV sets the scene nicely, bit of cammo netting, you're there! I started off the Nrg for the morning and Hav followed up with another stomping set.

Oh yeah

Then we had a bit of an open deck session. First up Gav from Ravenous. He shook up the morning with hard-edged German style trance, wicked set. Then we had Jimma from Pan!k. He played some classic Nrg tracks, really uplifting, beautiful tunes, perfect for the morning. The came Dom, also from Ravenous. He got straight to work with some manic scratching and and throbbing Nrg. The NRG Wednesday boys took us oput nicely into more progression from Ju and Neil.

Another wicked, wicked party. Only thing was this one geezer, messy bastard, nice guys, total liability, can anyone name hime?

Oh yeah
