We made it

+ Native Beats. In a feild. 06/04/02

Brrr

Still a bit nippy, bit wet under foot but sod it. Native Beats asked us if we'd like to hook up with for a party, and we thought what better way to start the season with a nice local party, for local people. We headed off to Dorking to meet up with these guys and then they took us to a well used party location in a forest in Coldharbour. When we arrive there was already a good amount of people milling around and Native Beats had nearly finished setting up.Fires were being made and the fire twirlers were out in force from early on.

Oh yeah

We seem to be getting the music just right now, building it up, right until the sun rise. Ju started us off with his heavy progessive style to get people movin nicely. By this time we'd heard the Police had blocked off the road coming into the field, telling them the party had been stopped and to move onto Farnham.

Hav took over with his hard-as-you-like mix of house and techno and with it came a big crowd of people who got in over the back of the common. Nice. Yours truly stepped up next with a bit of energy and then the acid boys stepped in. Nechto, Rikkaz then Paddy rockin the place with filthy acid, Rikkaz droppin a few classics to break things up a bit.

Neil, from what is now Cubed Records, stepped up wih Ju in the morning sunshine to chill it out a little with a nice bit of fluff!! Progressive all the way, nice heavy basslines, good to wobble about to.

Kohezion and Taco from NRG Wednesday took over the last hour and assaulted us all with fine display of Hardest House and Nrg. They hadn't had enough when they finished mixin so they took to assaulting our resident hippy, poor old Phil.

Oh yeah

The sun came out and it was lovely morning, then we realised how big the field was that we were in and how lush the venue was. Can't beat the country. Absolutely wicked party, blinding way to start the party season off. Pukka.
