This year we are making many changes to the way the Ambient Picnic works.

As the event becomes more popular and attracts more people we must work with Guildford Borough Licensing
to ensure our event works within the laws and regulations for events with public entertainment.

To most of us, this means that there are enough toilets & stewards to help you find your way.
In reality, this is a major planning task that is worked on for many months prior the event it's self.
To ensure we retain our license this year, and for years to come, please work with us to keep the event happening.

NEW FOR 2005:

FULL PARK & RIDE SERVICE

This year we intent to be the first CAR FREE festival in Guildford. This is a massive undertaking.
Last year we tested the idea with a PARK & RIDE service from ARTINGTON.

This year we will extend this service with a PARK & RIDE from CORNHILL in Ladymead.
The service will link with Guildford Railway Station.
There is a cycle lane and path through beautiful meadows out of Guildford town, linking with Godalming.
There will be secure bicycle parking on site.

Please do not try to park near to site. We have employed a team of vehicle removers and clamps.
Vehicles parked in coned areas, double yellow lines, verges or private property (other than your own) WILL BE REMOVED & a charge will be made for the return of your vehicle.

You will require a Vehicle Pass to get on to site. If you do not have one, you will not get in.

PLEASE REMEMBER - The Ambient Picnic is an environmental event. If you can, leave your car at home. Thanks.

ENTRY PASS SYSTEM & ADVANCE TICKETS

We are asking the Borough Council for a license for 8000 people at any one time.
As we need to ensure that the correct numbers are on site we have introduced a ticket pass system.

If you turn up on the day without an advance ticket, you will need to:
- Make your contribution to the event at the CONTRIBUTIONS OFFICE.
- The FEE is £5 per person / £10 per family minimum suggested contribution.
- Each person / child will then be given a pass to get into the festival.

If you would like to secure entry with an advance ticket, you will need to:
- Book your ticket - TICKET OUTLET TO BE CONFIRMED.
- hand your tickets in at the door & walk in.

No re-admission
No GLASS Bottles on site
